about SchoolSmart
SchoolSmart is an educational consultancy that aims to educate parents about schools in order for them to make informed and appropriate choices for the education of their children.
SchoolSmart was founded by Lisa Hodges in 2011. After tutoring children in London for over 10 years, Lisa identified a real need for parents to have easy access to a range of information about state and independent school systems, local schools, entry requirements and entrance exams and to have it all explained clearly and their questions answered. Lisa has detailed knowledge about schools and has visited over 40 independent and selective state schools in the London area in order to obtain a feel for individual schools and to gather more information than a website or prospectus can provide.
Lisa believes each child flourishes academically, emotionally and socially when attending the 'right school' for that particular child and her aim is to help parents identify the 'right school'. She continues to tutor students needing support and those lacking in confidence, and also prepares children for entrance exams.
Lisa lives in Barnes with her husband and their three teenage children.
Louise Hutchinson initially joined SchoolSmart as a tutor and specialises in 7+ and 8+ preparation. In addition to tutoring, Louise recruits and manages SchoolSmart's tutors.
Louise lives in Chiswick with her husband and has two children.
