individual

Individual assessments can be arranged in English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning for all school-age children.

An assessment of your child will identify strengths and weaknesses in particular academic subjects so that areas of concern can be addressed.

An assessment also provides valuable information when considering suitable future schools and deciding what preparation or individual tuition may be required.

Preliminary papers are done at home prior to your child meeting with an assessor. This meeting takes up to 1.5 hours and involves a relaxed and friendly assessment of the child's current academic levels and future potential. Preliminary papers are marked and further material is presented. Children find this a very positive experience. This is followed by a discussion of results with the parent.

mock exams

Mock Exams are held to provide children with the experience of attending a formal exam in preparation for selective school entry examinations. Papers in Maths, English (Comprehension and Essay) and Reasoning are taken, with a snack provided between each paper. Marking is prompt and parents receive results and feedback, highlighting areas that may need further attention.
